The pictures were misleading, it looks like it is beach front and it is not! The sand you see and the water is from a canal, not ocean view

Waterfront location near a historical part of town
I chose this hotel considering the location near the water sports area. Rowing, Stand up paddle board are offered in the early mornings. Hotel keeps the door connecting to the waterfront locked until 9AM, therefore preventing guests access to walking on the beach, joining classes. We were notified the pool would only be available at 9AM, but we were very surprised to find out we’d be locked in until then! Very disappointed

Disappointed by being unable to enjoy the outdoors til 9AM
Location
I chose this area in order to participate in the water sports offered in the nearby waterfront. However the doors facing the waterfront are locked until 9AM. No chance of early morning walks and photography. It seemed silly to be locked up, and unable to enjoy a peaceful morning walk. I am familiar with the area, and I am certain it is safe.
